| Buying a Holiday Caravan? ...How to make sure it's safe Buying a holiday caravan? You’ll want it to be safe.
How do you know that what you’re buying was built to comply with the health and safety standards in force at the time it was manufactured?
Since 1964, the National Caravan Council has been inspecting prototype and new models to ensure they comply with the standards we have set. That’s over 10,000 models. Inspection could require over 600 different checks on any one model by a team of highly specialised engineers. These tests exceed the minimum requirements specified by UK and European Standards, involving over 200 different health and safety aspects.
Realistically, you couldn’t do all this yourself. Fortunately, the National Caravan Council is currently the only agency in the UK checking out holiday caravans. And we’ve got your safety at heart.
All you have to do is look for the APPROVED badge on the holiday caravan you’re about to buy.
This is the proof that it complies.
Before you buy – always make sure it has the National Caravan Council APPROVED badge on it for your peace of mind.
